Our caravan
A proper family base, not a rental box
We bought the caravan for our own family holidays, and it's still kitted out that way — comfortable, tidy and stocked with the bits you actually need.
It's a three-bedroom, Silver-standard caravan with a big corner sofa you can all pile onto, a proper dining table and a kitchen with a dishwasher — which, with kids, makes more difference than it sounds.
The decking is new, with a table and rattan chairs. Most mornings that's where you'll find us with a coffee before the park wakes up. The beach is about five minutes' walk and the mini market about two, so you can leave the car where it is.
In autumn and winter the central heating and the little electric feature fire make it genuinely cosy — it's a lovely time of year to come when the park is quieter.
